Rhythmic gymnastics is a sport that combines elements of ballet, gymnastics, dance, and apparatus manipulation. Students from this department are trained to manipulate one or two pieces of apparatus: rope, hoop, ball, clubs, ribbon or freehand.

 

This Department is the most popular choice among students due to the number of victories it has given to the school and the number of successful Alumni it has produced including the famous Korean Gymnast, See Yeon. Most students from this department are female but there are a few exemptions after it has opened its doors a year ago.  

 

The students of this department have had a long rivalry with the Weightlifting Department due to differences of interests, It has been this way ever since the department gained popularity among the new enrollees. They are known to be the most graceful students in Hanwool.

RHYTHMIC GYMNASTICS

Weightlifting / Power Lifting is an athletic discipline in the modern Olympic programme in which the athlete attempts a maximum-weight single lift of a barbell loaded with weight plates. Students from this department are trained for the two competition lifts , the snatch and the clean and jerk. Weightlifting tests aspects of human limits therefor the students are given more intense routines than the other departments.

 

This Department has had a long history of victories but despite of that, it fails in popularity compared to the more glamorous Rhythmic Gymnastics and Swimming Department. Students from this department are the strongest and most healthy. Rumored to withstand common sicknesses. There are equal amounts of male and female students but new enrollees especially females are turned off with the thought of Weight Gaining as a program.

 

They have a long rivalry with the Rhythmic Gymnastics Department due to various conflicts of interest. They are known to be the strongest students in Hanwool.

WEIGHTLIFTING

Swimming is an individual or team sport that involves using arms and legs to move the body through water. Typically, the sport takes place in pools or in open-water. Students from this department are trained in the arts of competitive swimming and relays.

 

They have rigorously mastered the different swimming styles which include the butterfly, backstroke, breaststroke, freestyle, and individual medley. This Department is at par with popularity with the Rhythmic Gymnastics Department when it comes to freshmen choice.

 

Their Department is known to get most attention during School Festivals due to the number of Male Students. The Department has recently produced numerous national athletes for swimming during the last decade which added to their popularity.

 

Most students from this department are Males but there are a few exemptions after it has opened its doors a year ago. They are known to be the smoothest students in Hanwool.

SWIMMING

Track and field is a sport which includes athletic contests established on the skills of running, jumping, and throwing. Students from this department are known to posses both speed and strength.

 

They are trained to master foot racing events, which include sprints,  middle- and long-distance events, race walking and hurdling , and jumping and throwing events, which include long jump, triple jump, high jump, pole vault,  shot put, javelin, discus and hammer.

 

The most balanced and most down to earth Department among the four. The Department has had a long history of Gold Medals ever since the College was built.

 

The son of the founder was an Olympic Gold Medalist who was an Alumni of Hanwool. There are equal amounts of Male to Female ratio amongst their students.  They are known to be the fastest and most reliable students in Hanwool.

Basketball is a team sport in which two teams, most commonly of five players each, opposing one another on a rectangular court, compete with the primary objective of shooting a basketball through the defender's hoop  while preventing the opposing team from shooting through their own hoop. 

 

One of the fairly new departments which involves team sports. Basketball has been a popular choice among males so its not common to see females enrolling for this sport but there are a few exemptions as the sport has been gaining popularity among freshmen.

Most of the graduates of Hanwool College Basketball have been in the Olympic Games and have brought home numerous trophies and medals.

Basketball and Volleyball Students are known to be the students with the greatest teamwork among all the departments in Hanwool College.

BASKETBALL

Volleyball is a team sport in which two teams of six players are separated by a net. Each team tries to score points by grounding a ball on the other team's court under organized rules.

One of the fairly new departments which involves team sports. Volleyball has been a popular choice among both male and female freshmen through the years. 

Hanwool College has been producing amazing Volleyball players through the years.


Both Basketball and Volleyball Students are known to be the students with the greatest teamwork among all the departments in Hanwool College.
